Train to Gain 

Train to Gain Engage is the website for employer engagement staff, training providers and other stakeholders and partners.

It provides you with the information and resources to inform employers about:

  • how Train to Gain works with other organisations

'Get on local government' is the national campaign to address Skills for Life in the local government workforce. The campaign aims to enable local authority employers to take a more proactive, sustained and strategic approach to workplace Skills for Life.

NIACE

The National Institute of Adult Continuing Click to go to niaceEducation (NIACE) aims to encourage all adults to engage in learning of all kinds. It is a charity, a company limited by guarantee and a member-led, non-governmental organisation, working with adult learners, local authorities, government departments and agencies, voluntary bodies, charitable trusts, adult education providers, trade unions, employers, European funders. Its offer include running high-profile campaigns such as Adult Learners' Week and Quick Reads, delivering high quality development and research work, supplying expert consultancy, advice and support services etc.. Alliance Sector Skills Alliance Group-SOG

The Alliance is an organisation comprising all 25 licensed UK Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), the employer-driven organisations that together articulate the voice of the employers of around 90% of the UK's workforce on skills issues.  To find out more, click here

 
Skills and Learning Intelligence Module (SLIM)

SLIM enables programmes and projects promoting Skills for Life to be informed by the best available evidence.



SLIM collates and supplies information on skills and learning to policy makers and practitioners across the South West.  It is part of the South West Observatory, set up by a partnership of regional bodies to share the production, analysis and dissemination of intelligence and research related to regional policy in South West England.

The South West of England Regional Development Agency led the development of the South West Regional Employment and Skills Partnership and fully supports the priority of improving literacy, language and numeracy.

South West Regional Employment and Skills Partnership

The South West Regional Employment and Skills Partnership brings together employers and businesses, public funders of training, training providers and groups representing individual needs. It is the one partnership that joins the entire business and learning community with a common goal - matching individual skills to employer needs in South West England.

SWitch - Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training
